The world of concrete originated in Houston, Texas exhibiting 77 companies across a 22,000 square foot show room. With 1,550 industry professionals in attendance you might say that is a successful event in itself. Being the first year of production the member of the World of Concrete knew they had something special. It's a place where industry professionals alike could meet, talk and learn among each other towards the greater good of the construction world. Fast forward 39 years and this is what you get. 1,300 exhibiting companies across 500,000 square feet of showroom floor. Not bad just 39 years later. In large part this was due to the expansion of scope by including the World and Masonry and Technologies for Expansion.
What kind of companies exhibit at the World of Concrete? From around the world, original equipment manufacturers gather in Las Vegas, Nevada to show off new tool, equipment and products, share ideas and continue to expand the umbrella of concrete, masonry and technology capabilities.
What kinds of people show up? Here are some titles to name a few: Commercial Contractors, Concrete Contractors, Concrete Pumpers, Construction Managers, Dealers/Distributors, Decorative Concrete Contractors, Designers and Specifiers, General Contractors, Masonry Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Brick and Block Producers, Ready Mix Producers, Rental Equipment Centers, Repair Contractors, Residential Contractors, Specialty Concrete Contractors, Pipe and Block Producers, and Precast/Prestressed Producers. Phew. Thats a mouth full.
This is Las Vegas's 2nd largest show throughout the year. There is no telling what 2015 might bring, but I can guarantee you won't want to miss it.
