TerraFirma is Coos Bay's trusted contractor for basement & foundation work. For the past decade we have been using state-of-the-art products to protect your home. We are the authorized basement systems contractor in Coos Bay.

Basement Waterproofing & Crawl Space Repair

To remove any water that could damage your home we install an interior drainage system. The drain connects to a sump pump to safely pump the water out and away from your home. The system comes with a transferable lifetime warranty.

If you need to encapsulate your crawl space we use CleanSpace vapor barrier and insulation to seal the area. Add a sump pump and dehumidifier and your home is protected from moisture, mold and rot coming up from the crawl space.

Foundation Repair

Our team of foundation specialists will set up a time to come and inspect your home. We can fix uneven floors, bowing falls, cracked walls and more. The systems comes with a 25-year warranty.

Concrete Repair

Sunken concrete slabs out in the driveway or sidewalk are an issue. That is why we use a polyurethane foam for concrete leveling, which is injected underneath the cement to raise the slab up. TerraFirma concrete leveling provides a superior option to traditional mudjacking methods. We also offer NexusPro cracked concrete repair and ResurfacePro concrete resurfacing to further stabilize and better your slabs!

Radon Mitigation

TerraFirma provides in-home consultations to assist you in education, radon mitigation, and radon removal from your home. Don’t hesitate to contact us today. Radon is a dangerous gas that can’t be sensed by human senses that can also lead to potential issues such as lung cancer and more.

Job Stories From Coos Bay, OR
SuperSump Saves Coos Bay, OR Home from Water Damage

Local Coos Bay, OR resident Pamela H. noticed that there was water leaking into her basement through the floor.  She started looking for a company that could come and help her. While watching television she saw an ad for TerraFirma Foundation Systems and decided to give them a call.

A few days later Casey Moore came out to her property. He suggested that they install a couple products that could help. He recommended that they install a SuperSump Sump Pump.  This is a 1/3 horsepower cast-iron sump pump that is capable of pumping out 2,500 gallons of water per hour. Also it was recommended that they install a WaterGuard System. The system is installed along the perimeter of the basement to catch incoming water seepage and direct it towards the sump pump.

With her basement protected by the SuperSump and WaterGuard, Pamela can use her basement with no worry that any of her belongings will be ruined by water.

Foundation Settlement Issue in Coos Bay, OR

Chris I. is a property manager in Coos Bay, OR. While visiting this property he noticed that there were cracks in the exterior walls and the doors were not opening properly. He started asking around to his friends. One of them referred him to TerraFirma Foundation Systems.

Within a few days of contacting the office they sent out Ryan Thomas to inspect the property. He recommended that they install Push Piers in the foundation.  These piers can be installed inside or outside of the foundation walls and will not only stop settlement but can lift the foundation back to its original position. This will close any cracks and improve the function of the door.

Now that the Push Piers have been installed, the residents of the home can continue living in it with no worry of further settlement.

My house was originally built in 1918, the front half anyway. Sometime in the 1960's the back half was added on. It is a two story house. The finished basement is the first story. There are no records of the construction that I can find but I'd like to know if it is up to code or if it needs retrofitting so that I can look into earthquake insurance. The house sits on a terraced hillside with a house above and below in close proximity.

I have old sagging insulation under my house to remove, and a decomposing ground cover under my approx. 1800 sq ft home. I need a better quality insulation (R25?)that once again covers my floors in the 30" high crawl space, and is secured. Also, a new ground cover. (6 mil?) Also, check the metal duct work to see if it needs to be taped on the seams. Can you give me a rough estimate of cost?
