Foundation Repair Photo Album: Barn Helical Anchor System Woodburn OR
There are four steps to successfully installing a helical pier or helical anchor system. First excavate around installation area to access the foundation footing. In this barn stabilization project, due to the existing narrow foundation walls and lack of footing, we created our own by fastening steel beams to the outside of the cement foundation. Next mechanically screw helical pier shafts into the soil. One appropriate depths and capacities have been reached, the piers are mounted to a bracket attached to the foundation (our additional foundation section). Lastly, transfer the weight of the structure to the piers.
Attaching foundation footing to barm foundation wall
As stated in the gallery description, the existing foundation wall of the barn was not strong enough to attach brackets to. By installing this extended foundation, we were able to successfully transfer the weight of the barn onto the piering system.
