We had a nasty crawl space that had been bothering me for a long time. at first, I was really apprehensive about encapsulation. not only was it somewhat expensive, it is not very common. Everyone I mentioned it to thought I was crazy. in the end, I think it is well worth it. now we have a clean space that I can crawl in without a respirator or mask. After initially talking to Chris about the dimpled barrier that directs water to the sump pump that was installed, I thought that it would fit more closely to the ground. It sticks up in spots and does not hug the ground as I thought. I talked to Drew about this and he said it would be OK. They removed the existing vapor barrier from where the dimpled material was installed saying that it takes the place of the old visqueen.

My only complaint re: cleanup is that the crew broke a compact fluorescent light bulb in the basement and didn't clean it up or let me know before leaving (I could have walked down into the basement barefoot, and CF bulbs contain mercury).

I also felt like communication about electrical outlets attached to the posts in my basement that were replaced with smart jacks could have been better. This was more of a sales issue than an issue with the crew, but I was left with electrical outlets not attached to anything (just hanging from the ceiling) after the posts were replaced. This outcome would probably have been obvious to someone familiar with the process, but I feel like it was not explained to me.

We had a great experience with TerraFirma. When we discovered water and mold in our basement, we explored options on how to recreate the living space we had come to rely on. TerraFirma offered the products that made sense and their service and installation was great. We now have our living space back. It is clean and dry and should stay that way for years to come!

When we had to dig up our basement floor to fix a plumbing issue (right after our new floor was installed!), TerraFirma gave great advice for how to remove and reinstall the floor. It was well within the reach of a DIY job. When there were a couple of finishing touches remaining, they came over and helped out.

This is a great local company to do business with. I recommend them highly!

Overall performance of TerraFirma was 5 star. My interaction with the call center, the sales rep and the installation foreman was very positive. Everyone was able to answer all my questions no matter how obscure. The fact we were able to finance the project same as cash was very helpful and we took full advantage of it. Qualified Crawl Space Installer Gresham, OR

Not all solutions are created equal, and some installers are more qualified than others. TerraFirma Foundation System Employees are Professional Installers. Tom D. of Gresham, OR has an existing sump pump and vapor barrier that continue to fail year after year. He was fed up with it and began searching the internet for a professional installer. He found called TerraFirma for a free inspection to solve his crawl space crisis.

Upon inspection, it was impossible to step foot in the crawl space due to four inches of standing water. How could this be with a vapor barrier and sump pump already installed? It makes you think about who installed it. One thing was for sure, a new drainage system was needed and a more powerful sump pump. After pumping out the four inches of standing water, drain tile was installed around the perimeter of the basement to aid in collecting water and draining to a sump pump. The sump pump installed is called Triple Safe. With three separate pumps all-in-one, at it's highest level, Triplesafe will pump 11,500 gallons of water of a fully charged battery.
