Vuba Stone
faqs

What happens if Vuba Stone is not properly maintained?
Without routine cleaning and care, debris buildup, organic staining, and surface wear can occur over time. While the system is durable, neglect can lead to discoloration or reduced performance, similar to other exterior paving surfaces.
Following recommended maintenance practices can help prevent these issues and extend the life of your installation. Visit our Vuba Stone Aftercare & Cleaning Guide for full care recommendations.
Is Vuba Stone better than Epoxy Coatings?
They are not comparable.
Vuba Stone is best used on exterior surfaces because it is UV stable and slip-resistant. Epoxy Coatings are best used on interior surfaces such as garages and basements.
Can Vuba Stone be installed over existing concrete?
Yes.
Vuba Stone is often installed over existing concrete surfaces if they are in good condition.
Can Vuba Stone be installed over existing concrete if the concrete is cracked?
Yes.
Although it is best to have an existing concrete surface in good condition when installing Vuba Stone, it is still possible to have the installation done if the existing concrete is cracked.
Is Vuba Stone suitable for the Pacific Northwest?
Yes.
It is suitable for the Pacific Northwest because it is permeable and resistant to freeze/thaw cycles.
Because it allows water to pass through instead of sitting on top of the water, it is more suitable than other surfaces in the Pacific Northwest because of the rainfall.
How long does Vuba Stone last?

If installed correctly over a solid base, Vuba Stone is intended to last a long time. However, the length of time will vary depending on the conditions, drainage, usage, and upkeep of the area. (Note: Warranty information will be updated once verified.)
How do you clean a Vuba Stone surface?

Vuba Stone surfaces are easy to maintain with regular cleaning. Routine sweeping helps remove debris, while occasional washing keeps the surface looking fresh. For deeper cleaning, a gentle pressure wash can be used as long as proper distance and technique are followed to avoid disturbing the aggregate.
For best results and detailed instructions, see our Vuba Stone Aftercare & Cleaning Guide.
Is Vuba Stone slippery when wet?

No, the textured surface of the natural stone is slip-resistant, making it ideal for pool decks, patios, and walkways.
Will Vuba Stone crack like concrete?
Vuba Stone is installed over concrete, so any movement in the concrete will still affect the surface of the Vuba Stone. However, the resin used in Vuba Stone will minimize cracking compared to untreated concrete slabs.
Does Vuba Stone require ongoing maintenance?
Vuba Stone is considered a low-maintenance surface, but periodic care will help preserve its appearance and performance. Regular cleaning, prompt removal of stains, and avoiding prolonged exposure to debris or standing items will keep the surface in optimal condition.
Over time, resealing the surface every few years can further enhance durability and color.
Learn more about proper maintenance in our Vuba Stone Aftercare & Cleaning Guide.
How does Vuba Stone compare to stamped concrete?

Stamped concrete is aesthetically pleasing, but like all concrete, it will eventually crack, requiring repairs, and may need to be resealed periodically. Vuba Stone offers a permeable, UV-stable, textured surface that is made of natural stone, requiring little upkeep.
What colors is Vuba Stone available in?
Vuba Stone is available in a variety of natural stone color combinations. There are approximately 13 color combinations in the TerraFirma line, allowing homeowners to select a color that matches their exterior design, exterior house siding, or landscape design. Final color selection will be shown in the product gallery.
How long does it take to install Vuba Stone?
Residential Vuba Stone installations take one to several days, depending on the size of the surface area to be installed and weather conditions.
