Terra Firma did a great job at waterproofing our basement. Timothy was a foreman and did a great job of checking in with us every day and keeping us updated. His whole team, Jonathan, Jairo, and Harley, were all very nice and professional. They did a wonderful job for us.

We had TerraFirma out to work on our foundation six months ago and were very pleased with the experience. We had a pretty big project on a home built in 1900 and the company worked with us to divide it into phases so it wasn't so financially overwhelming. Phase 1 included crawl space encapsulation, replacing old wood columns with smart jacks, carbon fiber stitching cracks, installing a dehumidifier and a sump pump with drainage line. After starting the work they realized some components that had been in the contract weren't needed and they quickly had me sign an addendum that would lower the cost of the project. James Taylor, the lead was great to work with, always explaining their plans for the day, progress they had made and ensuring that we were pleased with the work. The crew was right on time every day for two weeks. They were clean and courteous. They were set to finish a day early but found some water entering the basement while they were wrapping up. James called his supervisor and they set to work installing a section of drainage system that was unplanned. They did this at no additional cost because they said that is what they were hired to do and it was the right thing to do. I was shocked by this because it is hard to find a company and crew off workers that will stand by their work like that. Terra Firma might be more expensive than other quotes you get but it was the first time I have felt that a company genuinely cared about the quality of their work and they treated my home with respect. James and his crew (Byron, Alex, and Jake) went way above and beyond to make our basement a better and more useable place. They certainly could have just done the minimum that was agreed upon but they didn't and they will get my business for any future needs because of it. Our unfinished basement and crawlspace is now clean, comfortable and dry. The work was transformative. I highly recommend this company.

We discovered water in our basement this past April and first called the competitor who had installed a waterproofing system back in 2015 for the previous owners. Unfortunately, their visit wasn’t very helpful -- they didn’t offer a clear solution or give us much confidence that they even wanted to do any work on our 115-year-old house. That’s when we reached out to TerraFirma for a second opinion, and it was the best decision we could have made. From the very beginning, Jaden, our System Design Specialist, was outstanding. He was thorough, thoughtful, and really listened to our concerns. He walked us through options, answered all our questions, and came up with a solution that felt right for our home. Scheduling with Sammy was easy and helpful - she worked around our vacation schedule, and we always knew what was happening and when. When it came time for the work, Rocky and his team did an excellent job installing our new egress window, while Jorge, Juan, and Scott rebuilt our failed irrigation system from the under-ground up. Both teams were incredibly professional: always on time, tidy, communicative, and respectful of our neighbors (no small feat on our tight street with all the equipment and materials). Rocky went above & beyond with the window - making adjustments to the position and reinforcing our load bearing areas, and Jorge offered alternative and better solutions for our new sump-pump location that would ensure the functionality of our new system for decades to come. Every step of the process with TerraFirma exceeded our expectations. We honestly wish we had found them sooner for all our home projects. When we first bought our 1900s fixer upper, we had no idea what lurked behind the walls of the illegal basement apartment. Once we opened up the space we were in for quite the surprise. All the wooden post holding up the main beam of the house were rotted through at the base. You could stick a pencil through the old, soft wood. Working with TerraFirma to fix the issue was an easy choice. Eric came out to assess our problem. He was friendly and professional as he walked me through the process that was needed to fix our foundation. It wasn't going to be cheap. Don't expect this kind of work to be inexpensive (especially on older homes). We needed concrete to be cut, 2ft cubic footers poured, and six shiny new steel posts. (And while they were coming out anyway, we had them do seismic retrofitting too). There's all kinds of math and engineering that goes into determining what's needed to structurally support a home. TerraFirma handles it all. And they are experienced enough to know what it's going to cost. One of the best parts of working with them (besides the friendly employees and professional workers) is that the price they quote you is going to be the price. Full stop. There are no unexpected add ons at the end. I can sleep well at night knowing TerraFirma's work is holding up our home. A few months later when the rains started in earnest and our basement flooded (an issue we guessed had been going on for a while, hidden by those illegal apartment walls and leading to the rotting of the old wood posts) we knew who to call. Eric came out again to look at options for a sump pump system and even worked on adjusting those plans (while he was on winter vacation with his family!!) when we discovered that a third wall was seeping water and we needed a much larger amount of fixing than originally thought. We no longer have to worry during downpours. While our old fixer upper still needs a lot of work and love, we know that we are (literally) starting from a strong, solid foundation thanks to TerraFirma.

We hiredTerraFirma to waterproof and redo our crawlspace. We live on a hill which means the crawlspace is on a hill, I am sure it wasn't the easiest place to navigate to get the work done. Heather was the projects coordinator and kept us informed of every step of the project, which we really appreciated. Fernando, was the foreman, and his work crew Felipe, Jorge D., and Jose H. were exceptional workers. This was a three-day project and they were always punctual, very polite, and worked extremely hard getting the project done. I hired TerraFirma to raise a portion of my house and waterproof my basement as well as pouring a new concrete floor in the basement. We ran into a few obstacles, but Ryan the project lead was able to quickly address the issues and keep everything on schedule. The TerraFirma team was able to work with my general contractor to make sure that the subsequent remodel of my kitchen and basement was able to go ahead as planned.

Terra Firma installed their water guard system in our basement. They were on time and flexible in adding services when we found more damage than we thought was there. I would use them in the future if needed.

I have used Terra Firma on 4 (soon to be 5) projects over the last few years. They offer a variety of services relative to foundation issues, drive and walk ways and basement issues. They do great work (as recently evidenced by Mike McCarthy and his installation crew on my sport court and driveway) and they have a great warranty, both of which justify their cost. I have a couple of other projects in mind and won't hesitate to call them for one of their free estimates and to discuss options as they have done in the past. Highly recommend for peace of mind.
