SIDEWALK & DRIVEWAY REPAIR REVIEWS

From cracked, sunken, and tripped-over, to lifted, leveled, and repaired.
Thank you to these Oregon and Washington homeowners who trusted us with their concrete repair challenges.

So I had Jorge as a Forman with Juan, Manuel, Kevin, Zach, and Daniel. First off, Jorge did an excellent job of communicating the process, explaining materials he was using, and setting up the sump online system with my wife (it was the first time he'd installed this particular sump, so the set up was new to him as well). Secondly, When he was done, even though it was Friday night and I know he wanted to get back home, he chatted with my wife and I and was very pleasant and positive. I believe he said he's been there for four years and also said it was a great company to work for. I also work in the construction industry and was generally curious about the company. I could tell he was sincere. Lastly, To say they worked hard was an extreme understatement; they had to haul in by hand 5 gallon buckets of concrete and haul out all the jackhammering they did to get the foundation flood protection as well as the sump set. No standing around. No cell phone use. Just solid work. Jorge's crew was friendly enough, but they were no-nonsense and left the up front communication to him. The cost wasn't cheap, but we went with Terra Firma strictly on reputation. We live about 75 miles out of PDX, and to get the job done, they sent out an additional crew for a crucial piece of the work. I would say, despite the cost (and it's not like they were ripping me off, it was just a costly project), I got my money's worth based on what I saw from the labor intensity. I really can't believe how much they did in such little time. They said "one day", and by God they made it happen. They had to hammer out approximately a 75' long, 8" wide by 10" deep trench along the inner concrete foundation of my house, hammer out and install a sump, then core out, install and set a discharge conduit about 12 feet outside of my house. Not a small task for a day's work. My only nitpick would be there was a small amount of dust left over from the work, despite the very elaborate taping and containment plastic they used (which was a LOT). They did great of taping everything and covering floors, etc. I was concerned about silica, and Jorge told me they would use a vacuum shroud for the hammering process, which I assume was done, but was not at home for that phase of the process. My wife has asthma, so dust is our nemesis! This is one of those projects that you hope you don't have to use (flood prevention), but a small part of me wants to have water trickle in to see the efficacy of the work. Time will tell! Until then, thank you Jorge and crew for kicking some ass, and getting a good tackle on our flood prevention!
Terra firma lifted four sinking concrete slabs on our swimming pool deck. They used the poly foam method and did a fantastic job. We are extremely pleased with the results and we would definitely recommend Terra firma for this type of service. Casey, Ken, Cameron and Sammy are an exceptional team. They are professional, knowledgeable and proficient in their work ethics. Thank you all for a job well done. Sincerely, Rick and Mary Burnes
Skylar did a great job saving our concrete deck that was cracking. It feels much more stable. He explained the process and got it done. Left the area spotless
Called TerraFirma to take a look at the concrete steps that have been settling for years. Bailey Mercer is very professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He answered all our questions, and addressed our concerns. At the end, he presented us with 3 different solutions. There was no pressure to pick one, or pick the most expensive one, or pick one within the hour or the deal is gone. We had the weekend to think about it. Bailey did a follow up call as promised, and answered even more questions - all to our satisfaction. I will update when work begins and at its conclusion. Bailey should get a surf and turf dinner, not just a lunch!
I met with Walt Bateman this week to discuss an issue I have that sounded like TerraFirma was a good place to look for a professional opinion. Walt shared his expertise and extensive knowledge of about 30 years of experience in the Eugene / Springfield area regarding geotechnical and residential construction issues and solutions to foundation and concrete structural issues in our wet environment. We discussed a variety of potential alternatives and he left me a relatively easy and cost effective solution for my project. I was very pleased to meet Walt and happy with his response just one day after contacting TerraFirma. I highly recommend Walt as an honest straight shooting guy and happy to get his opinion for my project. Thanks to Walt and TerraFirma, Steve Z, Springfield, OR.
The whole job went smoothly. Katie did a god job communicating as project manager. Mike was quick and efficient with the concrete slab void filling. Tim, Chris and Jonathan were all very professional and expertly got the French rain and sump pump installed. Very happy with all the work done.

Terra Firma leveled ourconcrete driveway, and did a great job. We were happy with the results, and would recommend them again!
From making an appointment till the end of the project, we were well informed. I was a little concerned about the drilling holes on the concrete to fill the void but they are almost invisible.
We chose TerraFirma to fix problems in our crawl space. We have a perimeter foundation with a post-and-pier system beneath the house. TerraFirma installed steel jacks where wooden posts had split. They also removed waterlogged tarps, soil, and insulation under our floor, then installed a waterproofing system that included a perimeter drain, two sump pumps, a dehumidifier, and a 120-mil encapsulation liner system. They also took care of all the coordination that was needed with an electrical contractor who had to come in and add circuits for the pumps (and do a few other things). The work took 6 long days of work by three TerraFirma crew members, each of whom were very diligent, communicated well, and did a good job cleaning up at the end of each day. (The team was Antonio who was the foreman, plus Jonathan and Riko.) I had lots of questions during the work that each of them answered well and to my satisfaction; they clearly were all very knowledgeable (not just the foreman). Also, the project manager (Jonah) did a great job addressing the many questions I had during the weeks before the crew showed up. This wasn't cheap work, but I felt we got good value and good service and now don't have to work around (and worry about) moisture and mold problems in the crawl space. We also had another crew from TerraFirma do some concrete leveling work, and I was really impressed at how well they addressed one particularly challenging slab that needed a major lift. I am a scientific consultant and in the client-service business, so I am pretty particular in my expectations of a contractor. TerraFirma met those expectations really well; I highly recommend this firm.
Communication prior to work was great. Project manager explained how the work would go. The day the crew showed up the foreman went over the work plan and asked if I had any concerns, which I did and he was able to explain and accommodate without any problems. The crew put down plastic to minimize any mess or marks on my concrete and cleaned up post project work. I’m very satisfied with the work and complement the crew.
Our concrete garage floor was sinking on one side. I wanted it leveled before it cracked, resulting in more costly repairs. TerraFirma successfully leveled it with their expanding polyurethane foam. The process only took a few hours.
So pleased with the total experience. We were provided with expert analysis of how to achieve stabilization of a concrete slab. Coordination between sales, planning and production was excellent. Technician was very proficient and friendly.
