Crawl Space & Foundation Issues in Kennewick, WA

Because of settling, the concrete porch was pulling away from my house. The TerraFirma sales rep who came out did a great job of explaining the Polylevel procedure. The crew was extremely polite and respectful, completed the job exactly as expected and the area was completely clean when they left. I would have no hesitation using TerraFirma again.

He assembled a comprehensive, detailed, and extensive quote, estimate, and full project workup, complete with photographs from around, under, and through our home! Confidence in TerraFirma and their cabinet of staff is high. Would give six stars if I could.

***Please note -- I updated my review from 1 to 5 stars. Terra Firma took the initiative to reach out and assess any next steps needed to correct the problem. Trust is 100% restored knowing that if problems come up they will take any action needed to follow up. I will also say that the work they originally did was actually to code, and we agreed that the moisture problems arose due to the nonstandard setup of my dehumidifier, NOT because of errors in Terra Firma's work. Thank you Terra Firma.*** Unfortunately, I have to drop a negative review in the interest of warning other folks that their work has gone downhill. I previously had an excellent experience with Terra Firma for management of a water problem in my crawlspace. I hired them without question again for my current property for management of moisture issues, and I didn't check their work upon completion as thoroughly as I should have. Unfortunately, about 1 - 2 months after completion of work, I discovered a large mushroom growing out of one of the structural posts in my crawl/basement. On closer inspection, I noticed that the dehumidifier water discharge line they installed was dumping less than a foot away from my foundation, corresponding to the exact spot the mushroom was growing. Moisture was the exact problem they were supposed to fix, but now they have created a severe structural problem secondary to moisture with the dehumidifier line dumping large quantities of water right next to my foundation. In other words, they created the exact issue they were purporting to fix by collecting the moisture and depositing it into my foundation. Once fruiting bodies are growing out of wood, this is an indicator that the wood is severely compromised and the fungus network has grown extensively. I now have a very expensive and serious problem to fix. I called to let them know about the problem, not sure if I will hear back from the coordinator/ the team who did the work. I am not sure if I would trust them to fix the issue after the damage they have caused, but I would accept financial remediation. If they take steps to make things right, I would update my review. I would not hire Terra Firma again for any crawlspace work, be it structural or moisture related because of the big problem they have caused. Again, just would like to warn others.

Yes, except for the cost. I tried to sell my cat (a joke) but no one wanted him. I hope the repair lasts; I won't be able to afford it again. Marguerite, Eugene, OR

2/16/26 update: My sump pump broke in December due to the high level of iron in the soil under my house. Terra Firma responded quickly and replaced the pump with no issue. Great customer service and a great team / experience! Thank you Terra Firma! Seth has been amazing to work with! I have been working with Seth on designing my crawlspace drainage system. Seth has been extremely helpful, patient, and professional. I've pestered him every day, multiple times a day with questions, asked for revisions to my quote, clarifications, and have been an all-around pest. Through it all, Seth has been responsive, communicative, and thorough. The work is scheduled for Mid-May 2024. I will update my review after the work is done with how it went with the crew and the job they did.

Seth came out to bid a project, replacing old wooden posts with steel. He was on time and very knowledgeable. He took his time making sure not to miss any details, which I really appreciated. Can't wait to get the work completed!

TerraFirma repaired our deck a few years ago from settling issues. They did a great job so I called them recently to address additional settling concerns with stairs behind the deck and the utility shed. Robert was the technician assigned to the project. Before he began the repairs, he discussed both parts of the project, seeking my input on what to expect with the outcome. I observed him doing his work throughout the day- he was professional and patient with the challenges that come with repairing a 50 year old home. I couldn't be more pleased with the result, and the interactions I had with Robert throughout the day. I highly recommend TerraFirma for repairs to concrete with settling issues.

From the initial call & explanation of their services, I knew this was the company we wanted for our foundation issues at our house. Their follow-up & timely estimation process just made things great. Everything was also explained in exact detail. They were very accommodating to our schedule. The work began just a few short days from deposit. Collin & his guy that came out to do the job were very clean, thorough, & knew exactly what to do. The center of our house was 1.5” lower than everywhere else. It actually caused an atrocious squeak from the framing whenever there was movement near. That quickly went away! This needed to be done to install several new doors & jambs in the hallway. Several weeks later, there is still no squeak, the floor feels far more solid, & we have new doors that function flawlessly because of the work they did. If you EVER have a any sort of foundation problem, do no hesitate to reach out to them. & this is coming from a contractor. Every point of contact I had with them was pleasant. You just can’t go wrong!!

Showed up on time, and leveled out my porch in just a couple of hours. Went above and beyond by dusting my Traeger and porch chairs after they were done. Highly recommend
