If you hire this company to put sump pumps in your basement, make sure you know exactly where they are going to put them and where the pipes that will pump the water outside will be coming out of your house. Even though one guy gives you a diagram ahead of time, that doesn’t mean the guy actually doing the work follows it. One sump pump was put in our basement just as we expected. The second one was not. We provided new electrical outlets dedicated for use to the sump pumps. The second pump now has cords hanging in mid air barely reaching the new plugs because that pump was not put where they told us it would be. Also, the pipes that take the water away from the house, we expected those to go through the foundation, not through the expensive cedar siding and be exposed on the front of our house! I was horrified to see those holes and said so. My husband redirected them to drill through the foundation so the pipes could not be seen once the work was done. They did that, but now we are left with holes to repair. They did not offer to repair them. The young men who did the work were kind and respectful and did what they thought were expected of them, but if you hire this company, make sure you know exactly where they are going to put everything and not assume anything even if you have a diagram!

I had a great experience working with Samuel Bryant. Sam arrived on time and communicated clearly ahead of the inspection, coordinating well with both me and my tenant. He performed a thorough inspection of our basement sump pump, took the time to explain everything clearly, and provided detailed recommendations based on our specific situation. What stood out most was how responsive and patient he was with all of my questions. I really appreciated Sam’s excellent service, and I would highly recommend working with him.

My home is situated on a hillside that slopes south to north and east to west. My foundation stem walls along with my concrete floor were sinking and my floor was out of level. Terra Firma came and sunk several tubes down fifty-seven feet to stabalize my stem wall footings and they injected foam in several areas of my concrete floor to make it level again. They did a fantastic job and they were thourough and left my home in the same condition before they began the work. The only complaint I have is that the estimator indicated that many of the cracks in the concrete floor would close up with the foam and they did not.

Mr. Stanford did a thorough inspection of our crawlspace and gave us the honest opinion that very little needed to be addressed. He was very professional and clearly very experienced. This was after a competitor came out and tried to convince us we needed an $18,000 encapsulation.

We had a great experience with TerraFirma. The crew that waterproofed our basement were Aris, Manuel, and Cristian, and they were super pro and cleaned up everyday after work. This crew was just great, they were friendly and worked hard every day. Give these guys a raise!

Both crew's were on time. The crawlspace crew put down plastic from the front door to the crawlspace entrance in a bedroom. Work was completed on time, our closet doors reattached and the areas they worked in or went through left clean and tidy. The sidewalk crew completed their work in a day and even patched a crack we had forgotten to mention to the estimator. If TerraFirma also did crawlspace insulation, that would have been great, but I had to find another company for the insulation.

Estimator, installer, and office communications staff were all great. Each person kept me well informed and up to date on progress. I have recommended Terra Firma to neighbors who may need help.

Communication prior to work was great. Project manager explained how the work would go. The day the crew showed up the foreman went over the work plan and asked if I had any concerns, which I did and he was able to explain and accommodate without any problems. The crew put down plastic to minimize any mess or marks on my concrete and cleaned up post project work. I’m very satisfied with the work and complement the crew.

Terra Firma was such a professional business to work with. Their technician did a comprehensive diagnosis of our foundation and the team that came to fix our foundation did an incredible job! So thankful to know our foundation was fixed and passed all inspections.

Great work from James and his crew! Thanks to Morgan, David and Hilary for the additional assistance. These folks went above and beyond also fixing a lock on a sliding glass door as well as installing 20 piers and 4 smart jacks for the residence. Very thorough evaluation initially from Morgan which is why I chose TF over their main rivals who just breezed through the place in 30 mins or so. Morgan spent nearly 2 hours after taking measurements and showing me detailed videos about the bedrock and clay deposits under all these houses in W. Eugene. House feels solid now! These work crews they have make rapid progress and stick to their time estimate which frankly seemed doubtful at the end of day 2 of 6. But sure enough they were all tidied up and done by mid day of day 6, just amazing!

Update: Robert and Jacob showed up and fixed my sagging kitchen floor. Punctual, professional, thorough, fast! Highly recommend TerraFirma to anyone needing foundation services. Overall total experience was top notch!! Thank you TF!! Noah arrived punctually and impressed from the get-go! He was here for an estimate visit and began with the explanation of how the appointment would be performed He was very thorough in explaining every detail and options available to me. Although I have not committed, Noah’s professionalism and knowledge were on point and I am definitely going to consider using Terra Firma for my sagging kitchen floor. Stay tuned…

We worked with TerraFirma on a complex project involving installation of their EverBrace wall stabilization system. The project took a lot of planning and communication leading up to installation, plus a 3-week on-site job. 2/16/26 update: My sump pump broke in December due to the high level of iron in the soil under my house. Terra Firma responded quickly and replaced the pump with no issue. Great customer service and a great team / experience! Thank you Terra Firma! Seth has been amazing to work with! I have been working with Seth on designing my crawlspace drainage system. Seth has been extremely helpful, patient, and professional. I've pestered him every day, multiple times a day with questions, asked for revisions to my quote, clarifications, and have been an all-around pest. Through it all, Seth has been responsive, communicative, and thorough. The work is scheduled for Mid-May 2024. I will update my review after the work is done with how it went with the crew and the job they did.

I met with Walt Bateman this week to discuss an issue I have that sounded like TerraFirma was a good place to look for a professional opinion. Walt shared his expertise and extensive knowledge of about 30 years of experience in the Eugene / Springfield area regarding geotechnical and residential construction issues and solutions to foundation and concrete structural issues in our wet environment. We discussed a variety of potential alternatives and he left me a relatively easy and cost effective solution for my project. I was very pleased to meet Walt and happy with his response just one day after contacting TerraFirma. Walt listened to my concerns and did a thorough job of evaluating the foundation. When he finished, he took the time to explain what was normal settling, and what was concerning. He pointed out that I had a drainage problem around the foundation that needed attention, and might prevent the settling from becoming critical. I loved that he was not just out to sell me a service!!! I feel like I can trust his recommendations when I have him back to see if the new drainage solved the problem. Thanks Walt!!!

Update: they sent someone back out to inspect the tree and work. Wouldn’t pay for someone to make the tree look nicer and mentioned they could give us a gift card or something for the trouble but never followed up with that. Ended up hiring an arborist on our own. Estimator Derek was very friendly and helpful. Had a much better experience with him than I did with Groundworks. Quote was better too and took about a week to get on the calendar. Was able to get on the schedule fairly quick and they even called with a same day cancellation the Friday before we were scheduled. Work that was done was okay, they were able to lift what we wanted on the main driveway and did their best in front of the steps. Unfortunately they used a jack, which I wasn't expecting, and ended up cracking the slab in front of the steps. It's in the contract that they're not responsible for this so nothing was done to mitigate it. Also a slab next to the large one lifted developed a large crack after they applied the stabilizing foam to the lifted slab. Other issue is that they said it wouldn't be an issue to have the truck down our driveway as they have more than enough hose to work with. Unfortunately they backed the truck right into our magnolia tree and when they were pulling away it ripped a large chunk of branches out.

Five Star to the Aris's team who worked on site! My project was stuck and the boys drive all the way from Vancouver up to Seattle to rescue. When I met them for the first time, I was deeply worried because those boys look so young! However, I was quickly impressed because the young boys really rock! They are super friendly and polite, they are energized and work so hard, I can tell they are proud of their craftsmanship and really care about your property. Kudos to Brad, Aris, Jose and Rudy! For the overall experience, there was a huge gap between sales team and production team, be prepared that you may not get any material/product like what the sales person showed to you, I did a lot of research on their product and that was the main reason I selected them, however, I did not get any of the product with specification that were promised, so this is quite disappointing - but I understand this is not really sales or field technician's fault...

Seth came out today to check under my house to give an assessment on ways I can improve my foundation for earthquake protection. He was awesome. He was on time and very personable. He explained things (with pictures) very clearly and answered all my questions. I was very impressed. 🙂

The Terra Firma team of Luis Juarez, Jose V., and Jorge D. were very dedicated and thorough in the crawl space encapsulation project at our home. They worked long hours to get the project done well and on time- as promised.
