When we first bought our 1900s fixer upper, we had no idea what lurked behind the walls of the illegal basement apartment. Once we opened up the space we were in for quite the surprise. All the wooden post holding up the main beam of the house were rotted through at the base. You could stick a pencil through the old, soft wood. Working with TerraFirma to fix the issue was an easy choice. Eric came out to assess our problem. He was friendly and professional as he walked me through the process that was needed to fix our foundation. It wasn't going to be cheap. Don't expect this kind of work to be inexpensive (especially on older homes). We needed concrete to be cut, 2ft cubic footers poured, and six shiny new steel posts. (And while they were coming out anyway, we had them do seismic retrofitting too). There's all kinds of math and engineering that goes into determining what's needed to structurally support a home. TerraFirma handles it all. And they are experienced enough to know what it's going to cost. One of the best parts of working with them (besides the friendly employees and professional workers) is that the price they quote you is going to be the price. Full stop. There are no unexpected add ons at the end. I can sleep well at night knowing TerraFirma's work is holding up our home. A few months later when the rains started in earnest and our basement flooded (an issue we guessed had been going on for a while, hidden by those illegal apartment walls and leading to the rotting of the old wood posts) we knew who to call. Eric came out again to look at options for a sump pump system and even worked on adjusting those plans (while he was on winter vacation with his family!!) when we discovered that a third wall was seeping water and we needed a much larger amount of fixing than originally thought. We no longer have to worry during downpours. While our old fixer upper still needs a lot of work and love, we know that we are (literally) starting from a strong, solid foundation thanks to TerraFirma.

We have a lot of exposed aggregate concrete with many of the pieces that had become off level after 40 years. Terra Firma was the most cost effective option available to level out the existing concrete. I met with their representative and walked through the project. On the scheduled date they showed up on time and spent most the day working to level and adjust the concrete which worked on 98% of the pieces; I knew there may be some pieces that may not be able to be corrected and I accepted that premise going in. The crew worked diligently and did a great job overall! Total material used (foam) was more than had been contracted but Terra Firma agreed to split the difference with me to reduce that extra cost which I thought was a generous offer. I highly recommend Terra Firma for concrete leveling services!

We were in the process of selling our house when the buyer's inspector thought our entire front porch concrete area and a supporting post needed to be replaced due to some minor settling of the concrete. I asked TerraFirma if they would send someone to come and inspect the area and get their opinion. Within a few days of my request, Walt Bateman, a System Design Specialist, came and did an inspection. After spending a lot of time measuring and inspecting the front porch area, Walt spend considerable time explaining to me that the buyer's inspector's recommendation was not warranted and he offered a reasonable and easier solution. I was very impressed with Walt's knowledge and his very simple and reasonable explanation of what he found. Walt was very easy to talk to and extremely personable. Fantastic job leveling out settled patio concrete slabs. Very efficient work done in about 4 hours. One area had a 2” trip hazard between slabs, now nothing! 5 year guarantee but should last 80 years

Had a very good experience with TerraFirma. Got three bids, theirs was best by far, detailed, many pictures, explained exactly what work was to be done, a few options available on additional work. Work consisted of leveling three concrete walkway pads, each about 7'x4' with some complications due to a broken block. Communication by email or phone was quickly answered by the project manager, Sammy. Work day was scheduled well in advance, with a reminder sent a few days before. Exact arrival time was provided and they arrived on time. Excellent work team, two employees, Ken, foreman, and Zack, did the work exactly as laid out during the bid interview, took no longer than was expected. They were easy to talk to and were intent on ensuring we were happy with the results. Thanks for the good work and good experience. Excellent example of real service, good people.

Our concrete garage floor was sinking on one side. I wanted it leveled before it cracked, resulting in more costly repairs. TerraFirma successfully leveled it with their expanding polyurethane foam. The process only took a few hours.

My home is situated on a hillside that slopes south to north and east to west. My foundation stem walls along with my concrete floor were sinking and my floor was out of level. Terra Firma came and sunk several tubes down fifty-seven feet to stabalize my stem wall footings and they injected foam in several areas of my concrete floor to make it level again. They did a fantastic job and they were thourough and left my home in the same condition before they began the work. The only complaint I have is that the estimator indicated that many of the cracks in the concrete floor would close up with the foam and they did not.

Although TerraFirma wasn’t able to assist with my specific concern, Bailey was extremely professional and thorough. I would definitely recommend having them evaluate your next project.

The crew were on time, introduced themselves and made sure that we were all on the same page as far as what they were doing. Lifted the back patio up and leveled the sidewalk to martch. Looks great! I hired TerraFirma to raise a portion of my house and waterproof my basement as well as pouring a new concrete floor in the basement. We ran into a few obstacles, but Ryan the project lead was able to quickly address the issues and keep everything on schedule. The TerraFirma team was able to work with my general contractor to make sure that the subsequent remodel of my kitchen and basement was able to go ahead as planned.
