Smart Jack post replacement

We were able to condition this crawl space before any settlement issues got too big; However, there were some internal floor sagging, which is why 7 Smart Jack were installed; to give some extra support to load beams.

Smart Drain

This is the lowest part of the crawl space. The red circle on the top of the Smart Drain is an alarm. This is not a mechanical sump pump, it is an alarm that goes off when water levels reach the red circle.

Vent cover

In a total crawl space encapsulation, all vents are covered with plastic (as they don’t absorb moisture or heat or allow for diffusion). This is a variation in which the vent can be opened to service the sump pump of dehumidifier.
